SUMMARY: 
Twenty years in technical drafting and design on computer aided drafting (CAD) systems for several large companies. 
Recognized for the ability to handle multiple priorities and successfully complete assignments within demanding schedules. 


EXPERIENCE : 

Jan 2004 to Present:
Solar Turbines, San Diego, California

Contract Designer (Volt) using CADDS5 and PTC Wildfire, manipulating power generating equipment using  assembly design. I am also working with electrical codes from the USA, Canada, Europe, and more. 

April 2001 to Oct 2003:
CDI Corporation, Phoenix, Arizona
CADDS5 designer position, using Computervision Rev 10. AND ProE. 
Duties include cabling satellites for communications, designing parts, and general drafting duties.
Also used ProEngineer for modeling and drafting, approx. 500 hours. As an employee in a contract house, I was laid off due to "no work".

November 1997 to September 2000:
United Defense, York, PA
Contractor, using CADDS5 Rev 8.1. 
I was hired to help design several areas on the Grizzly (Breacher) project, using explicit and parametric solids, in the CAMU environment. I was repositioned within the project to help setup and implement Checking Procedures, as it relates to this project, as well as helping to implement Standards across the York site. I am currently the only checker for the Grizzly project, plus maintaining the Grizzly Intranet website for users. 

October 1994 to October 1997:
NEW HOLLAND NORTH AMERICA, New Holland, PA 
Designer, CADDS5 (CAMU) 
Hired as a consultant, through The Byrnes Group, to work on a design team designing a new piece of heavy farm equipment. Using solid modeling and parametrics, I was able to quickly design the fuel tank ,steering components, and various castings. When I left, I used CAMU to redesign parts for the Skid Steer Loader. 


January 1994 to October 1994:
BETA TANK, Lebanon, PA 
Engineering Manager 
Hired to setup and manage the drafting and design department for a storage tank manufacturer. Also started a process for quality control and inspection. 

1987 to 1993:
FORD NEW HOLLAND, New Holland, PA 
Senior CAD Drafter 
Joined the company as a contract CAD operator and was quickly converted to a regular position as a Senior CAD Drafter/Designer. Areas of responsibility include layout, design, and assembly and finished drawings for equipment and castings. Extensive experience in casting design and drawing in both the CADDs 4x and CADDS5 environments, using both wire frame and solid formats, including parametrics. 
Related accomplishments include: Initiated in-house process of developing exploded assembly drawings. Performed layout design of machine and components on CADDS system to reduce cost and improve efficiency. 
Conducted Beta testing for CADDS software for ComputerVision. Involved in debugging software and generating enhancement ideas to improve user friendly handling and minimize operating time. 
Achieved cost savings through the development of new mold designs that eliminated multiple parts and/or machining operations. 


EDUCATlON & TRAINING: 
AS. Specialized Technology, Triangle Technology, Erie, PA(1987) 
This Drafting design course included CADD, Geometric Tolerancing, Kinematics and Strength of Materials. 
Became proficient on several CAD systems to include AutoCAD, VersaCad, Personal Designer and Personal Architect. 

Self taught Internet use and web design, Windows systems and networking. I teach computer and internet use seminars when requested.
